In a bold move aimed at revolutionizing global education, Cebu Technological University (CTU) is set to embark on a pioneering partnership with the U.S. Embassy in the Philippines during a visit today, August 19, 2025.
The future collaboration will center on scholarship and training programs in the United States for CTU students, scholars, and educators, along with advancing research, technology, and skill-building programs, among many others.
Mr. Rafael Quilala, Education Outreach Coordinator of the US Embassy in the Philippines, holds productive talks with Dr. Rhodora G. Magan, Presidential Strategist for Global Discourse Leadership and newly designated UD for Internationalization and ASEAN Integration at CTU.
As the partnership comes into focus, Mr. Quilala lays out the playbook, charting a path forward with CTU and driving a historic alliance between the US Embassy and the university.
Meanwhile, Dr. Magan shares CTU’s institutional roots and details its push for educational excellence, innovative research, cutting-edge technology, community-driven efforts, and global reach, among other key areas.
This prospective partnership is a major leap forward, focusing not just on global education distinction but also on forging a new path to mutual understanding, cultural exchange, and economic growth between the US and the Philippines.
