Cebu Technological University (CTU) and the Local Government of Sipalay, Negros Occidental, signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) on August 8, 2025, to enhance academic and research efforts in Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) and Climate Change Adaptation (CCA).
As stipulated in the MOA, CTU, through its Mechatronics Department and other key departments, collaborates with the LGU in “research, development, and implementation of innovative strategies, tools, and systems for community resilience and sustainable development.”
The City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) of LGU Sipalay was represented by Ms. Jenny Saulda, Ms. Ma. Dionivic D. Bogtae, Ms. Christine Joy G. Tabujara, and Ms. Jamaica G. Mueda.
Present during the MOA signing were University President Dr. Joseph C. Pepito and Vice President for Student Affairs Dr. Romeo P. Montecillo.
Through this joint venture, CTU and LGU Sipalay chart a course for a safer and more resilient community.
