Nineteen students from Cebu Technological University (CTU) officially departed on September 14 for Bangkok, Thailand, to embark on their international internship at the partner Royal Orchid Sheraton Riverside Hotel, marking a key step in CTU’s push for global exposure and applied learning.
The program runs from September 15, 2025, to March 10, 2026. It immerses Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management (BSHM) and Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management (BSTM) interns in hands-on training across key hotel operations, including front desk, food and beverage service, housekeeping, and administrative support.
The BSHM and BSTM interns are from CTU-Daanbantayan, Danao, and Dumanjug campuses.
Accompanying the students during their departure were their parents, guardians, and university officials, including Dr. Rolito T. Imperial, CTU Dumanjug Campus Director; Dr. Regina E. Sitoy, University Director for the Student Internship Abroad Program (SIAP); and Dr. Edralin General, SIAP Chairperson from CTU–Danao.
The initiative supports CTU’s goals of global competence, career and professional readiness, and boosting international ties, especially in the tourism and hospitality sectors.
