CTU expands global academic ties with Kyungdong University in South Korea

Cebu Technological University (CTU) is taking a bold step to expand its international footprint through a strategic partnership with Kyungdong University in South Korea, formalized during a collaborative meeting with the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) on September 10 at the President’s Office.

Through this alliance, both universities will further advance international education and foster academic distinction.

The partnership will center on student and faculty exchanges, collaborative research and development efforts, curriculum enhancement, professional training, and Korean language and academic pathways for CTU students.

Leading the meeting were CTU President Dr. Joseph C. Pepito and Dr. Rhodora G. Magan, Presidential Strategist for Global Discourse Leadership and University Director for Internationalization and ASEAN Integration, along with the CHED officials who emphasized their agency’s role in facilitating international linkages and aligning with national higher education compliance and priorities.

On October 27–28 at Kyungdong University, the two institutions will formalize their partnership through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signing, complemented by immersive activities—including campus tours, lectures, and volunteer engagements—to deepen cross-cultural ties.

This mutual synergy marks a significant milestone in CTU’s global strategy, paving the way for enriched academic collaboration and broader opportunities for its academic community.
