Marking another meaningful chapter on a continued partnership, Cebu Technological University (CTU) deepened its international ties with India’s O.P. Jindal Global University (JGU) during a strategic dialogue held today, September 10, at the President’s Office.
The discussion spotlighted the forthcoming student mobility exchange program, set to deploy CTU’s first batch of qualified students to O.P. JGU in January 2026 to engage in lectures focused on industry-relevant topics, cross-cultural learning, research, and shared content-based programs that foster global academic synergy.
Prof. (Dr.) Rahul Bhandari, Director of the Office of Institutional Advancement and Strategic Global Engagement (IASGE) and Associate Professor at O.P. JGU, emphasized their commitment to welcoming CTU graduates pursuing academic opportunities abroad, stating, “If you have young graduates who also want to start their academic abroad, we are happy to extend that opportunity to your students.”
He also highlighted that the partnership will include joint research initiatives, faculty development programs, and efforts to address global work challenges through collaborative academic models.
“Thank you so much for your continued support of our university, and for accommodating our faculty to be part of your academic community,” said CTU President Dr. Joseph C. Pepito, highlighting JGU’s ongoing collaboration and shared vision for academic excellence and faculty engagement. He also underlined the impactful visit of CTU faculty members who served as research fellows under the Naveen Jindal Young Global Research Fellowship.
Further, Dr. Rhodora G. Magan, Presidential Strategist for Global Discourse Leadership and University Director for Internationalization and ASEAN Integration, proposed future campaigns to bring JGU professors to CTU for research and cultural immersion, showcasing the university’s hospitality and industrial engagement.
With IAI chairpersons from CTU’s regional campuses present, the meeting advanced the university’s pursuit of global relevance—boosting educational diplomacy between the two nations.
