CTU Extension Chairpersons advance community-driven sustainable initiatives

To boost meaningful and sustainable community engagement, Cebu Technological University (CTU) convened its extension chairpersons on September 29 for the 3rd Quarter Regular Extension Meeting 2025, a strategic gathering focused on deepening community collaboration and refining institutional responsiveness.

The discussions focused on extension chairpersons presenting the third quarterly physical report of operation for MFO4 (Technical Advisory); the status of the GAA-funded community extension projects and budget utilization rate; and the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP) institutional accreditation for the Main Campus.

Continued talks spotlighted active partnerships with local government units, industries, non-governmental organizations, national government agencies, small and medium enterprise, and other stakeholders, 2026 timeline for community extension project proposals, and selected projects to be featured in video documentaries, with key partners from communities providing testimonies.

Dr. Rosein A. Ancheta Jr., Vice President for Production, Extension, and Resource Generation, led the event together with extension chairpersons representing all campuses at the Quality Assurance Office, CTU Main Campus. Facilitated by the University Extension Services Office, the strategic meeting aimed to boost the university’s push to empower communities through education, innovation, sustainability, and shared responsibility among stakeholders.

Through strong collaboration and clear plans for upcoming extension projects, CTU continues to lead the way in empowering local communities across the region.
