Binh Duong Economics and Technology University Calibrates CTU’s Vietnam Footing

Cebu Technological University strengthened its growing institutional foothold in Vietnam as it officially signed a cooperation agreement today with Binh Duong Economics and Technology University (BETU), a distinguished member of the Van Lang Education Group. The agreement had been pre-signed by both parties to facilitate today’s ceremonial signing.

BETU, represented by Vice President Phùng Thái Minh Trang, committed to sharing its extensive academic, research, and institutional resources with CTU through a multi-dimensional framework of collaboration. The pact strengthens CTU’s regional presence and builds on cooperation efforts initiated several weeks earlier, following scheduling delays that heightened anticipation for the meeting.

BETU now stands as CTU’s second secured partner institution in Vietnam for 2025, and the third since 2022, following CTU’s long-standing alliance with Van Lang University and its more recent partnership with the Vietnam Aviation Academy.

In a statement, Ms. Nhung Hong, BETU’s official counterpart to CTU’s Internationalization and ASEAN Integration Director, Dr. Rhodora Magan, announced a major highlight of the new collaboration: the upcoming BETU-backed international research conference scheduled for July next year. BETU is expected to sponsor around 20 CTU faculty members, providing full board and lodging—an initiative that reflects BETU’s strong commitment to academic exchange, collaborative research, and faculty development.

With this newly forged agreement, CTU continues to deepen its presence in Vietnam’s dynamic higher education landscape. The partnership opens additional opportunities for faculty development, student mobility, joint research projects, and broader internationalization efforts that will benefit both institutions in the years ahead, as reiterated by Atty. Rodmarc Sanchez, who spoke on behalf of CTU President Dr. Joseph Pepito../Internationalization and ASEAN Integration
