Cebu Technological University (CTU), through the Office of the University Director for Quality Assurance headed by Dr. Meralei J. Lawas, hosted officials from the City College of Cagayan de Oro (CCCDO) on November 20, 2025, for a benchmarking visit focused on strengthening quality assurance practices.
The CCCDO delegation included Dr. Ma. Aira Chenessa B. Aguilar, Director for QA and Planning; Rio Hillary Dalman, Director for Finance; Arnel James Y. Suprito, Associate QA Director for Administration (Team Lead); Abygail L. Salcedo, Associate QA Director for Planning and Monitoring; Mariel L. Curit, Associate QA Director for Academics; and Paolo Mari Matutinao, Faculty Member. The group was briefed on CTU’s QA governance structure, manuals, monitoring tools, and evidence-based institutional processes.
CTU also presented its accreditation preparation strategies, documentation systems, and sustained efforts to uphold a strong quality assurance culture across all campuses.
The exchange allowed both institutions to compare frameworks and explore opportunities for quality enhancement.
CCCDO officials expressed their appreciation to CTU for the comprehensive discussions and for sharing valuable institutional practices.
The visit further strengthened cooperation between the two institutions and supported ongoing initiatives toward continuous improvement in the higher education sector.
