Celebrating 16 years of CTU’s legacy!

Cebu Technological University (CTU) celebrates its 16th anniversary as a university, upholding its stature as a premier institution of higher learning. This milestone honors a legacy shaped by dedication and shared efforts that have defined CTU’s 16-year journey of progress and distinction.

In 1911, Cebu Technological University (CTU) was established as the Cebu Trade School, which later evolved into the Cebu State College of Science and Technology (CSCST) on its path to becoming a university. Over time, it was converted into a university on November 10, 2009, through Republic Act No. 9744 signed by President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, and has since flourished as a flagship institution in the country.

As one of the Philippines’ leading universities, CTU has consistently upheld quality standards over the years across education, research, extension services, digital transformation, internationalization, governance, and global relevance.

To our students, faculty, staff, officials, and stakeholders who have walked this path with CTU, we turned years of dedication and support into a moment worth celebrating.

Happy 16th Anniversary, CTU!
