Strengthening the university’s commitment to continuous improvement and excellence, Cebu Technological University (CTU) conducted its Internal Institutional Accreditation on November 17–19, 2025.
This initiative ensures that CTU consistently upholds high-quality academic and administrative standards as it moves toward greater global recognition.
Institutional accreditation serves as a vital quality assurance process that evaluates how effectively a university delivers instruction, supports student success, manages resources, and advances research, innovation, extension and internationalization.
Under the guidance of Dr. Cecilio S. Baga, Over-all Coordinator of the CTU Institutional Accreditation Task Force, and Dr. Meralei J. Lawas, University Director for Quality Assurance, the internal review enabled the university to assess its systems thoroughly and validate key documents in preparation for the upcoming Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP) Institutional Accreditation Survey Visit.
With the leadership of CTU President Dr. Joseph C. Pepito, the activity further strengthened the university’s efforts to align with both national and international expectations for quality higher education. The three-day review also showcased the collective dedication of academic leaders, task force members, and internal accreditors who continuously work to enhance CTU’s quality assurance practices.
Through this initiative, CTU reinforces its pursuit of world-class standards and continues its journey toward increased global visibility.
