Cebu Technological University (CTU) is strengthening its global presence as the Philippine Space Agency (PhilSA) selects the university as one of the official exhibit and technology tour sites for the 31st Asia-Pacific Regional Space Agency Forum (APRSAF-31), taking place on November 17–21, 2025, in Cebu.
The exhibit and tech tour at CTU’s Main Campus happened yesterday, November 17, allowing international delegates to explore the university’s leading research and innovation initiatives.
The Center for Advanced Vehicles and Energy Systems (CAVES), led by Dr. Jonathan Maglasang under the Office of the Vice President for Research and Development, spearheaded the preparations. CTU President Dr. Joseph C. Pepito designated CAVES to represent the university in this major international engagement.
CTU showcased several of its flagship technologies, including the Hybrid Marine-Air Vehicle, Autonomous Surface Ship projects, unmanned wing-in-surface-effect vehicles, and other innovations developed by CAVES.
Delegates also viewed an audio-visual presentation on the university’s communication tower (buoy) systems.
This engagement highlights CTU’s expanding role in global scientific collaboration and underscores the growing visibility of Philippine expertise in space-related research and emerging technologies.
