ACCREDITATION UPDATE | CTU concludes Institutional Accreditation, elevating university standards

Cebu Technological University (CTU) successfully concluded its Institutional Accreditation on Wednesday, December 3, led by the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines, Inc. (AACCUP), reaffirming the university’s strong commitment to quality and excellence across its core functions.

The evaluation was headed by Dr. Edgardo E. Tulin from Visayas State University, with team members Dr. Alona M. Belarga of West Visayas State University, Dr. Editha V. Pillo of Eulogio “Amang” Rodriguez Institute of Science and Technology, Dr. Betsie M. De La Cruz of Isabela State University, and Dr. Iris April L. Ramirez of Bukidnon State University. Supporting the accreditation process were AACCUP Team Coordinator Dr. Milabel Enriquez Ho, Mr. Dominic T. Enriquez, and Ms. Merelyn G. Dela Cruz.

The accreditation assessed key areas such as governance and management; teaching, learning, and evaluation; faculty and staff; research, extension, consultancy, and linkages; student support services; infrastructure and learning resources; and the university’s quality assurance culture.

Coordinated by the Office of Quality Assurance under the leadership of University Director Dr. Meralei J. Lawas, the successful completion of the Institutional Accreditation affirms CTU’s collective commitment to excellence, continuous improvement, and service to society.
