To honor employees across campuses for outstanding performance in various fields, Cebu Technological University (CTU) held its University PRAISE-TAP ceremony on December 12 at the CTU-Main Campus.
PRAISE-TAP, or the Program on Awards and Incentives for Service Excellence – Technology Advancement Program, is CTU’s annual year-end event recognizing outstanding employees for their excellence in academic, research, extension, production, resource generation, and administration.
Among the conferred awards were the Exemplary Leadership Award (Campus Alumni Presidents), Outstanding Alumni Award, promotion recognition for personnel after 10 years, and service awards for retirees.
Jonalyn Maestrado Dalanon of CTU Carmen Campus received a ₱200,000 cash incentive for ranking Top 1 in the October 2025 Fisheries Professional Licensure Examination. She was also awarded with a plaque in recognition of her remarkable achievement.
Campuses that produced topnotchers received special recognition, including CTU Main, CTU Carmen, CTU Moalboal, CTU Danao, and CTU Argao.
Meanwhile, CTU Main and CTU Danao Campus secured the award for Top Performing Campus in the Professional Regulatory Commission (PRC)Board Exam 2025, while CTU Argao, CTU San Francisco, CTU CCMSC, CTU Consolacion, and CTU Danao received the award for Campuses with 100% Certificate of Program Compliance (COPC).
Dr. Lanndon A. Ocampo, a distinguished professor and researcher, has clinched the Most Outstanding Researcher, Most Outstanding Resource Generator, and the Century Milestone in Research Award.
Notably, Dr. Ocampo has been included in Stanford’s rankings for six consecutive years, from 2020 to 2025. He leads the Center for Applied Mathematics and Operations Research (CAMOR) at CTU.
Further, CTU Main Campus secured the Community Extension Project Award for its initiative Capacity Building for Science Educators: Trainers’ Training on Action Research Projects in Basic Education. CTU Argao likewise received the same award for its community extension project titled HATEKA (Hanyag sa Matematika sa Pagpanghablon).
CTU Carmen was named Best Campus, while Campus Director Dr. Anthony S. Ilano received the Best Campus Administrator Award.
The event further honored awardees with special recognitions from national and global stages, as well as in research, production, and resource generation, alongside distinctions for the most outstanding faculty and non-teaching personnel.
Through PRAISE-TAP, the university continues to celebrate notable achievements that strengthen educational excellence, expand research and global standing, and foster community impact.
