CTU Main-CAS holds first Research Excellence Awards, honoring innovation and impact 

The College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) at Cebu Technological University-Main Campus held its first Research 2025 Excellence Awards Night at the CTU Main Gymnatorium on December 9, honoring outstanding faculty researchers and their contributions to research excellence.

The program formally recognized faculty achievers across categories through the CAS Research Excellence Awards, highlighting their hard work, creativity, and dedication to advancing research.

During the event, Dr. Gregorio P. Pajaron Jr., CTU Main Campus Director, gave inspiring message to the honorees, underscoring the resilience and determination behind their achievements.

“Your journey starts as a testament to your resilience and unwavering determination, embrace this recognition as tangible evidence that dreams can materialize,” Dr. Pajaron said.

“By honoring excellence, we not only celebrate the accomplishments of our best but also inspire future generations, especially our students,” he added.

The event provided faculty and administrators an opportunity to celebrate the college’s success through its accomplishments and outstanding achievements, while also charting its research direction for the coming years.

Dr. Sylvester T. Cortes topped the list of Published Researchers in Scopus/Web of Science, while the Department of Pure Sciences was recognized as the 1st Best Research-Engaged Department.

CAS Research Chair Dr. Robert Jay N. Angco organized the first-ever research awards.

The Research 2025 Excellence Awards Night shows that CTU continues to support research works and academic excellence.
