The prestigious annual Global Young Scientists Summit 2026 has drawn delegates across continents, including Dr. Sylvester Cortes and Dr. Robert Jay Angco of Cebu Technological University Main Campus.
They represent the Philippines, alongside a few more academics from the country, to learn firsthand from the Nobel Prize winners, who will be speaking from January 5th through 9th.
The Stephen Riady Centre at the National University of Singapore houses a tradition of science-filled talks from world-leading experts the summit has upheld through the years.
Through plenaries, fireside chats, and small-group dialogues, Dr. Cortes and Dr. Angco will be immersed in conversations shaping innovation, that they would carry forward upon their return.
Essentially, both academics enliven the event by sharing their researches that articulate the Philippine context.
Their presence visibilizes CTU’s increasingly dynamic role in the international research community. /IAI
