CTU awarded as Best Program Partner in the Academe by DSWD-7 SLP

Cebu Technological University (CTU) was recognized as the Best Program Partner in the Academe by the Department of Social Welfare and Development–Field Office VII (DSWD-7), through its Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP), during the Orientation on the Omnibus Guidelines for City and Municipal LGU Livelihood Focal Persons held on January 21, 2026, at a hotel in Mandaue City.

The recognition was conferred in appreciation of the institution’s sustained community engagement and active partnership with DSWD-SLP in implementing livelihood initiatives, capacity-building activities, and community development programs that promote inclusive and sustainable growth.

The award was received by Dr. Gregorio P. Pajaron Jr., CTU-Main Campus Director, on behalf of the University.

CTU Main’s partnership with DSWD-SLP is anchored on a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signed in 2024, which formalized collaborative efforts in delivering community engagement, skills development, and livelihood support programs to program beneficiaries.

The recognition affirms the university’s role as a vital academic partner in advancing DSWD’s sustainable livelihood programs, stressing the importance of strong collaboration among government agencies, local units, and academic institutions to drive development and reduce poverty.
