CTU strengthens student-centered governance through OVPSA First Quarter Meeting

Cebu Technological University (CTU) reinforced its commitment to student-centered governance and policy-driven student services during the First Quarter Meeting of the Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs (OVPSA) held on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at the CTU Main Campus.

The meeting, led by Dr. Romeo P. Montecillo, Vice President for Student Affairs, served as a strategic platform for aligning university-wide directions in student services, development programs, and governance frameworks, emphasizing institutional coherence and coordinated implementation.

Campus leaders and representatives engaged in structured discussions, sharing best practices, challenges, and recommendations to help shape the future direction of OVPSA programs and initiatives.

Prof. Eva Jonah Mari H. Enojas, University Director for Student Media and Publication, and Arch. Ann Frances P. Cabigon, University Director for Student Development and Information Services, were among the university directors who provided key inputs in translating policy into practice.

The meeting also tackled core institutional priorities, including the OVPSA 2025–2030 Strategic Plan, OPCR cascading, outcome indicators and performance targets, documentation and verifiable outputs, and action planning. An open forum enabled campus representatives to surface concerns, share best practices, and propose harmonized approaches to student program implementation across campuses.

The meeting also featured discussions on CHED Memorandum Order No. 63, focusing on operational targets, compliance mechanisms, and university-wide implementation guidelines to ensure student safety, accountability, and quality assurance in off-campus activities.

Through this convergence of leadership, policy direction, and collaborative planning, CTU continues to advance a coordinated, student-centered governance system—strengthening the delivery of student services, safeguarding student welfare, and ensuring that development initiatives are responsive, compliant, and impact-driven across the University.
