Earlier today, Universidad del Valle de Atemajac (UNIVA) confirmed the acceptance of Dr. Alma Valendez into the highly selective GLOBAL SUMMER 2026.
The initiative welcomes visiting professors from partner institutions across UNIVA’s nine campuses in the central-western region of Mexico.
Dr. Valendez will serve as an English as a Foreign Language (EFL) Level 6 instructor, teaching in person for four weeks this July at the UNIVA Zamora Campus.
In line with the program’s official call, UNIVA will fully cover accommodation and provide a ₱10,000 MXN stipend (approximately USD 500–550) to support food and local transportation, to be released on the third day following her arrival in Mexico.
UNIVA also extended special congratulations to the Cebu Technological University Main academic as the sole successful applicant from the institution.
In its official statement, UNIVA emphasized that the grant would strengthen the academic collaboration and global engagement between CTU and UNIVA.
Meanwhile, the Internationalization and ASEAN Integration (IAI) Office highlighted that UNIVA first reached out to CTU in October of last year, a partnership that has now bred a tangible and progressive outcome.
According to IAI Director Rhodora Magan, this feat is poised to breathe new life into CTU’s academic reputation engine.
Following Dr. Magan’s morning call, Dr. Valendez confirmed she received the news and will be accepting the July engagement in Mexico./IAI
