DU’s Engineering Department particularly requested the assistant professor’s expertise in this field, as a result of a standard lobbying procedure actioned by CTU’s internationalization arm. The same mechanism previously brought four lecturers from CTU Daanbantayan and Argao to two separate Istanbul HEIs.
Dr. Batulan’s application for lectureship was first initiated in August of last year. Her intent, as CTU Director Rhodora Magan recalled, in a statement to ICPA, was firmly based on the decision to practically rally around the cause of inclusivity, being the former regent’s life work. /IAI
