New faculty regent and CTUSFA officers take oath

The Cebu Technological University System Faculty Association (CTUSFA) formally installed its new leadership on January 13, 2026, with Dr. Sutero M. Macabudbud Jr. of the CTU–Daanbantayan Campus taking his oath as President and Faculty Regent, alongside the newly elected officers for the 2026–2029 term.

The oath-taking ceremony was administered by University OIC President Dr. Pet Roey L. Pascual at the President’s Conference Room of the CTU Main Campus.

Joining Dr. Macabudbud in the oath-taking were the CTUSFA officers: Dr. Limic Dela Calzada II, Vice President; Dr. Alona M. Ordoña, Secretary; Dr. Ken Gorro, Treasurer; and Prof. Angel R. Rosales, Auditor.

The Board of Directors comprises Dr. Lislee Valle, Dr. Jimmy Pescadero, Prof. Relouie Angtod, Prof. Lomera Cañas, Dr. Zandro Perez, Prof. Narcis Molero, and Engr. Ellen Camarillo.

In his remarks, Dr. Macabudbud Jr. emphasized the significance of his new role and affirmed his commitment to the responsibilities entrusted to him.

“This oath is a pledge to serve with integrity, to uphold the values of our institution, and to represent the collective voice of our faculty system-wide,” he stated. 

As CTUSFA President and Faculty Regent, he will play a pivotal role in advancing faculty welfare, promoting inclusive dialogue between faculty and administration, and ensuring that academic voices are represented in university-wide governance.

His leadership is expected to foster innovation, transparency, and collaboration, reinforcing CTU’s mission to deliver globally competitive education and community-responsive programs.

With his dual mandate, Dr. Macabudbud Jr. is poised to lead faculty initiatives that will strengthen research, enhance academic excellence, and build a culture of collaboration across CTU.
