Cebu Technological University (CTU) wrapped up its university‑wide selection for the Philippine Association of State Universities and Colleges (PASUC) Regional Culture and Arts Festival 2026 on Friday, February 20.
Facilitated by Prof. Michaed Daxx G. Barlaan, University Cultural Director, in collaboration with relevant offices, the two-day selection concluded with the dance competitions and Mr. & Ms. PASUC 2026 screening.
Showcasing heritage and cultural pride, morning sessions featured traditional artistry through folk dance and indigenous dance performances. Meanwhile, afternoon sessions shifted to modern categories with contemporary dance and street dance contests.
Further, the activity included the Mr. and Ms. PASUC 2026 Screening, where candidates took part in interviews, question-and-answer sessions, and solo performances to showcase their talents and skills.
John Dave P. Abing, a BSED‑English student from the College of Education at CTU Main Campus, secured the Mr. PASUC CTU 2026 title, while Claijane J. Brigoli, also a BSED‑English student from COED at CTU Tuburan Campus, won the Ms. PASUC CTU 2026 title.
CTU capped day two by spotlighting the myriad talents and creativity of students vying for regional recognition. They will go on to represent CTU at the PASUC RCAF scheduled for March 3–6, 2026.
Organized by PASUC, the RCAF gathers students from state universities and colleges to honor and uphold Filipino culture through competitions in music, dance, visual arts, literature, and theater.
