CTU, EVSU‑Ormoc initiate talks for collaborative MOU 

In a bid to boost educational progress, Cebu Technological University (CTU) and Eastern Visayas State University (EVSU)-Ormoc Campus held strategic discussions on February 16 to develop a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for forthcoming collaborative projects between the two institutions. 

The discussion centered on identifying priority areas for partnership, particularly in collaborative projects aligned with innovation, quality education, and academic program enhancement under the Conceive, Design, Implement, Operate (CDIO) framework.

Dr. Denilin P. Batulan, OIC-University President, attended the meeting together with Dr. Ve Leslie E. Atanoza, University Director for CDIO. EVSU–Ormoc was represented by Dr. Beatrice Mabitad, Head of the Technology Department, and Prof. Alan Reynaldo Mabitad, Head of the Research and Innovation Office.

The collaborative talks marked a significant step toward strengthening inter-institutional ties and advancing shared academic goals. 

Dr. Atanoza expressed optimism about the proposed partnership, emphasizing the importance of collaboration among higher education institutions to promote research engagement, faculty and student development initiatives, and industry-responsive programs.

He noted that the planned MOU would serve as a formal platform for cooperation, opening meaningful opportunities to benefit both universities and their stakeholders.

The meeting ended with a shared commitment to draft and finalize the MOU, underscoring a collective vision for academic excellence, innovation, and sustainable institutional growth.
