CTU-Main Guidance Center holds emotional wellness workshop

The Cebu Technological University–Main Campus Guidance Services Center (Day Program) conducted a workshop titled “Inside Out: Understanding Emotions, Stress, and Anxiety” on February 20, 2026, for Day Program students, particularly second-year students from the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) and the College of Computer, Information and Communications Technology (CCICT), as well as fourth-year students from the College of Engineering (COE).


The session was led by Dr. Josephine A. Villa, Guidance Services Specialist, together with the university’s team of guidance counselors.


The workshop featured interactive discussions and activities aimed at helping students better understand and manage their emotions. These included Paint My Emotions, a creative expression activity, and lecturettes on understanding emotions, Plutchik’s Wheel of Emotions, working with emotions, and stress and anxiety management.


Speakers included Ms. Pearl Jane Bongcales, who led Paint My Emotions; Dr. Jerame R. Nacua, who discussed understanding emotions; Dr. Jeel Christine C. de Egurolla, who explained Plutchik’s Wheel of Emotions; Dr. Josephine A. Villa, who tackled working with emotions; and Dr. Catherine Ross D. Degula, who discussed stress and anxiety. The session on Managing Anxiety: Pause and Park was also facilitated by Ms. Pearl Jane Bongcales.


Guidance Interns Nel Anthony Mozol and Queennie Paguya served as hosts of the program.
