CTU named among 30 Philippine HEIs for internationalization project

Cebu Technological University (CTU) has been officially selected as one of only 30 Philippine Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) to participate in the project, “Leading Internationalization: Strengthening Institutional Capacity and Canada–Philippines Linkages.”

The Canadian Bureau for International Education, the Embassy of Canada in the Philippines, and the Commission on Higher Education looked into indices, such as the institution’s preparedness for internationalization and existing collaborations with Canadian partners, among others.

Participating institutions across the country are undergoing the online training component starting February 13th and a leadership training in Manila this March.

OIC President Dr. Denilin Batulan, Vice President for Research and Development Dr. Pet Roey Pascual and Internationalization and ASEAN Director Dr. Rhodora Magan comprise CTU’s delegation. The composite, according to Dr. Magan, was based upon how she envisioned the synergy of three major offices upon which the university’s internationalization rests.

CTU’s inclusion further enhances its international visibility and strengthens its expanding academic network. It joins ten other HEIs from the Visayas , alongside twelve institutions from Luzon and seven from Mindanao./IAI
