Pushing the pedal for a broader academic mileage, the Internationalization and ASEAN Integration (IAI) Team had its first leg of the scholarship campaign today at CTU Argao with Okayama University and the Japan Consulate in Cebu.
The event is part of the IAI’s ongoing efforts, as Cebu Technological University’s primary global positioning engine, to galvanize its international reputation.
The scholarship caravan is structured as a one-session-per-campus series to maximize engagement within a limited timeframe. Following the Argao session, the remaining legs will take place at CTU Danao tomorrow and CTU Main on Friday.
Hosted by Argao IAI chair Dr. Rosalyn Alburo, the session welcomed faculty members and students from the university’s other southern bases (Moalboal, Barili, and Dumanjug).
Moreover, Dr. Alburo exposed the delegates to Argao’s handloom weaving (hablon) culture, alongside culinary creations made from breadfruit flour, one of the campus research center’s key initiatives.
CTU and the Japan Consulate of Cebu have been interacting more frequently than ever before on multiple levels since August of last year, following Dr. Rhodora Magan’s reinstatement as the university’s IAI director./IAI
