The regional festival began its first day of competition on March 4 at Cebu Technological University–Main Campus, with delegates from Bohol Island State University, Cebu Normal University, National Aviation Academy of the Philippines, University of the Philippines–Cebu, and Cebu Technological University competing across events.
Morning performances featured folk, indigenous, contemporary, duo, and street dance presentations. The afternoon contests focused on instrumental and ensemble categories, featuring performances in piano, violin, classical guitar, bandoria, and live band.
With the theme “PAGSAULOG: Honoring Our Cultural Heritage and Treasures,” the contests highlighted the festival’s role as a platform for students from state universities and colleges across the region to showcase artistry, cultural appreciation, and leadership.
