Marking the four-day showcase of talents, culture, and academic unity, the Association of Sugbo and Bohol State Universities and Colleges (ASUGBOHOL 2026) officially kicked off on Tuesday, March 3, at Cebu Technological University–Main Campus.
With the theme “PAGSAULOG: Pagpasidungog sa Aton Panublion, Kultura, kag mga Bahandi” or “Honoring Our Cultural Heritage and Treasures,” delegates from Bohol Island State University, Cebu Normal University, National Aviation Academy of the Philippines, University of the Philippines–Cebu, and Cebu Technological University joined the opening day activities.
Among the highlights were the morning solidarity meeting and the afternoon opening program, which showcased the parade of delegates, the festival dance Saludo, the Mr. and Ms. ASUGBOHOL opening production, and the dance presentation of the Sinulog 2026 grand champion in the ritual showdown free interpretation category—Toledo Tribu Masadyaon.
CNU serves as the official host of ASUGBOHOL 2026. The opening of PASUC 7 was formally declared by Dr. Laurence L. Garcia, together with the other SUC Presidents.
The day one concluded with a unity dance, symbolizing shared identity and cooperation among participating SUCs.
The Regional Culture and Arts Festival (RCAF) 2026, organized by the Philippine Association of State Universities and Colleges (PASUC), showcases cultural identity and highlights the multifaceted artistry of students from chartered colleges and universities across the country.
