CTU execs engage in national dialogue on higher education transformation

Cebu Technological University (CTU) officials took part in shaping discussions on the future of Philippine higher education as Dr. Denilin P. Batulan, OIC–University President IV, and Dr. Reylan G. Capuno, Vice President for Academic Affairs, attended the three-day Higher Education Summit 2026 at the SMX Convention Center Clark beginning March 10.

Led by Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Chairperson Dr. Shirley C. Agrupis in collaboration with the Department of Science and Technology (DOST), the summit convened officials and delegates from state universities and colleges (SUCs), local universities and colleges (LUCs), and private higher education institutions (HEIs) across the country.

Discussions centered on transformative strategies for Philippine higher education institutions under the CHED ACHIEVE Agenda, which highlights: (A) Advanced and Accessible Lifelong Learning; (C) Centralized One-Nation Human Capital Development; (H) Harmonized SDG-based Research and Innovation Agenda; (I) Integrated Real-Time Data Collection and Analytics; (E) Expanded and Impact-Driven Internationalization Strategies; (V) Vitalized Policies, Internal Systems, and Governance; and (E) Effective and Efficient Public Service.

Themed “ACHIEVING Sustainable Futures: Transformative Higher Education for Human Capital, Innovation, and Global Responsibility,” the summit advanced dialogue on curriculum development, research, innovation, and global partnerships while strengthening collaboration toward the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
