CTU Main-CCICT upgrades digital competencies via Skill2Serve Virtual Assistance Training

In light of the flourishing virtual assistance industry, the Cebu Technological University–Main Campus College of Computer, Information, and Communications Technology (CCICT) successfully concluded the Skill2Serve: Virtual Assistance Training.

The 80-hour community extension program, led by Project Leader Dr. Marie Joy B. Alit, ran from November 21, 2025 to March 12, 2026, equipping participants with industry-relevant digital and administrative skills. The project was implemented in cooperation with the Department of Manpower Development and Placement Services (DMDPS) of the Cebu City Government, represented by Acting Department Head and PESO Manager Dr. Anthony V. Aguhar.

Spearheaded by the Bachelor of Industrial Technology—Computer Technology (BIT-CT) program, the event incorporates training sessions facilitated by Dr. Melaine M. Himang, Dr. Ricson M. Bondad, Peter H. Calaurian, Noel P. Burgos, Johannes M. Camasura, Rei Joseph Gevera, John Rey E. Furtos, Dr. Marcial T. Pepito, and Jayvee T. Cabije.

The program provided training to 20 residents of Cebu City, with discussions focusing on the fundamentals of virtual assistance, digital productivity competencies, and marketing management. The sessions also included hands-on workshops on using AI tools and simulated job interviews.
