CTU shines at Mr. & Ms. ASugBohol 2026 with 1st and 3rd Runner-up finishes

Cebu Technological University (CTU) proudly marked its presence on the regional stage as its Mr. and Ms. ASugBohol 2026 representatives secured notable placements during the Grand Coronation held on Thursday night, March 5, at the Cebu Normal University (CNU) Administration Building.

John Dave Abing of the CTU Main Campus was hailed as Mr. ASugBohol 1st Runner-up, while Claijane Brigoli of the CTU Tuburan Campus was named Ms. ASugBohol 3rd Runner-up.

Along with their placements, the two also garnered several minor and corporate awards.

Abing won Best in Talent, Best in Barong Tagalog, and Best in Regional Attire, and was also named Face of the Supply Station PH and A&K Digital Design Ambassador.

Meanwhile, Brigoli received the Ms. Photogenic and Ms. Congeniality awards, and was recognized as Ms. Radiant Skin International, Face of Elysian Petals Cebu, Fleur de Louse Choice Awardee, and Ms. Converge.

Abing was coached by Prof. Junas Flores, while Brigoli was trained by Mr. Jhad Montecillo, whose guidance helped prepare the candidates for the regional pageant.

Mr and Ms ASugBohol, which stands for the Association of Sugbo and Bohol State Universities and Colleges, is among the highlights of this year’s Regional Culture and Arts Festival (RCAF) organized by the Philippine Association of State Universities and Colleges (PASUC).

The achievements highlight CTU’s continuing efforts to develop well-rounded students who excel not only in academics but also in cultural and artistic pursuits, further strengthening the university’s presence in regional competitions.
