Cebu Technological University convened campus directors and guidance counselors from across its campuses for a three-day planning and upskilling summit from March 11 to 13 at CTU Moalboal Campus, aimed at standardizing and strengthening student support services in line with the Board of Regents-approved Guidance Manual 2024.
The “Planning and Upskilling Guidance Practitioners” meeting brought together key officials, including the University Director for Guidance and Counseling, to align institutional practices and reinforce a unified framework for delivering guidance services across campuses. It also provided a platform for collaboration among guidance personnel to enhance the quality and consistency of student support services university-wide.
During the sessions, participants discussed the cascading of the 2026 Guidance Operational Plan, the standardization of work procedures, flowcharts, and guidance forms, the unification of the Guidance Citizens’ Charter, and best practices in documenting guidance activities, culminating in a synergy and commitment session.
The initiative underscores CTU’s continuing efforts to strengthen the competencies of its guidance practitioners and ensure consistent, effective, and student-centered services across the university system./Jhevey Yan R. Sadio, CTU Main-BAL Intern
