CTU academic heads to Japan for prestigious Japanese Language Teachers Program

College of Technology academic Zerachiell Shielly Bohol is bound for a linguistic immersion at the Japan Foundation Japanese Language Institute after being selected as one of the participants in the fully funded Japanese Language Program for Teachers of the Japanese Language this June and July.

Since joining CTU in 2023, Bohol has been interacting with students through a layered approach to learning using Nihongo, helping to enhance the employability of students from the largest college of the main campus.

In a statement, she expressed her hope to contribute more meaningfully to the university’s international academic engagement and is excited to share what she will learn from the program.

Bohol applied last November and received her acceptance into the program last week. She added that her stay in Urawa will also add cultural depth to her understanding of one of the most widely spoken languages in the world./IAI
