Cebu Technological University–Dumanjug Extension Campus emerged as Champion in the 1st National Undergraduate Seismic Design Challenge held on April 17, 2026, at the GT-Toyota Asian Center Auditorium in the University of the Philippines Diliman.
The civil engineering team from CTU Dumanjug outperformed teams from institutions across the country in the competition titled “Beat the Quake National Showdown: The Main Shock.”
The winning team was composed of Amiel Benedict Castañares, Yhan Elsie P. Fat, and Reljhon F. Villamera.
They were mentored by Engr. Jovic Zapanta, with institutional support from Campus Director Dr. Rolito T. Imperial and faculty members.
