Cebu Technological University (CTU) secured the Top 1 rank and two Top 6 placements in the March 2026 Civil Engineering Licensure Examination (CELE), based on results released on April 7.
Rico Quiñones Elao of the CTU Main–Dumanjug Extension Campus ranked first nationwide with a rating of 94.10 percent, the highest among all newly licensed civil engineers.
Also placing in the top ranks were two other CTU graduates. Sarah Marielle Aniño of CTU Main Campus and Cyril Dame Chavez of CTU Danao Campus both ranked sixth, each posting a rating of 91.75 percent.
The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) reported that 6,438 out of 18,370 examinees passed the examination, yielding a national passing rate of 35.05 percent.
The results reflect CTU’s sustained performance in engineering education and its continued contribution to the country’s pool of licensed civil engineers.
The university will grant cash incentives to the topnotchers: ₱200,000 to the Top 1 placer and ₱80,000 each to those who placed sixth.
