Cebu Technological University (CTU) has suspended all face-to-face classes and activities across its campuses following the earthquake that struck Cebu earlier today.
The announcement was issued through Memorandum No. PD06-112, s. 2026 by the Office of the University President, directing all Campus Directors and concerned personnel to ensure the safety of students, faculty, and staff.
Campus directors are instructed to coordinate with Local Government Units and Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Offices for the inspection of university buildings and facilities.
Dr. Jonita V. Literatus, the OIC University President emphasized that structural integrity must be verified before allowing students and personnel to re-enter campus buildings. Any damages or hazards identified must be reported to the University Director for Planning and Development.
The class modality for April 7, 2026 will be determined by the respective campus directors based on building inspection results, LGU advisories, weather and seismic conditions, and the overall safety of the campus environment.
Further announcements will be released after inspections and safety assessments are completed.
