Long-time ally Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) will send Dr. Haida Umiera Hashim to Cebu Technological University (CTU) for a specialized lectureship program in September and October.
Dr. Hashim, a senior lecturer at UiTM’s Academy of Language Studies, first reached out to CTU Internationalization and ASEAN Integration (IAI) leadership on April 20th to present her visiting professor application.
Her being a chief editor for the International Journal of Modern Languages and Applied Linguistics is a strategic element, said IAI Director Dr. Rhodora Magan.
Slated within the aforesaid months, her stint across CTU campuses will significantly ensure that the research drive of students and faculty alike is catalyzed.
An expert in Technology-Enhanced Language Learning and modern linguistics, the Malaysian academic will contribute to global academic standards and foster high-level research exchanges with ASEAN institutions like CTU.
The upcoming two-week program resulted in IAI’s constant acknowledgment of the need to expose its stakeholders to the global praxis of innovation, particularly, in the communicative paradigm./IAI
