The third cohort from across the globe has arrived in New Delhi for the month-long multinational research platform—Naveen Jindal Young Global Research Fellowship (NJYGRF)—hosted by O.P. Jindal Global University (OPJGU), following the grant announcement in March.
Cebu Technological University’s delegation comprises Julibeth Albarracin (Barili), Dr. Ivy Batican (Danao), Dr. Honey Lyn Gomez (Carmen), Dr. Ma. Leslie Basallo (Barili), Dr. Maria Cristina Gonzaga (San Francisco), and Dr. Christian Ray Licen (Main).
The fellowship, with the current batch totaling 130 participants, is designed to culminate in tangible research outputs, where each participant is expected to develop and publish at least one article in a reputable Scopus-indexed journal. Upon publication, fellows become eligible for the corresponding research incentive provided by O.P. Jindal Global University, further encouraging high-quality scholarly production and international research collaboration.
Beyond publication outcomes, the program offers participants opportunities to engage with distinguished faculty members, researchers, and experts from around the world while immersing themselves in an intellectually stimulating environment dedicated to addressing contemporary global issues through research.
The current fellowship engagement will run until July 8. Widely recognized as India’s leading private university, OPJGU established the NJYGRF in 2024, and it has since become one of CTU’s most significant international research engagements.
Previously, the first cohort consisted solely of Dr. Rhodora Magan, followed by Dr. Sylvester Cortes (Main), Dr. Purity Mata (Carmen), Dr. Lislee Valle (Danao), Dr. Joemar Minoza (Consolacion), and Dr. Rubugrace Guia (Argao).
