Cebu Technological University (CTU) Main Campus–College of Education (CoEd) conferred degrees on 900 graduates during its 111th Commencement Rites held today, June 30, at the CTU Main Gymnasium.
Dr. Raymond C. Espina, dean of CTU Main-CoEd, presented 451 candidates during the morning ceremony from the Bachelor of Technical-Vocational Teacher Education, Bachelor of Technology and Livelihood Education, Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Mathematics, and Bachelor of Early Childhood Education programs.
In the afternoon ceremony, Dr. Espina presented 449 candidates from the Bachelor of Special Needs Education, Bachelor of Elementary Education, Bachelor of Secondary Education majors in Social Studies, Science, and Filipino, and the Certificate of Technology in Special Education program.
Officer-in-Charge University President Dr. Jonita V. Literatus conferred degrees on the 900 graduates and delivered the commencement address.
In her message, Dr. Literatus urged the graduates to lead with empathy, integrity, and purpose as they navigate a world shaped by artificial intelligence and rapid technological advancement.
“As you step into the world shaped by artificial intelligence and rapid innovation, remember that your greatest strength lies not only in your knowledge but in the values within you,” she said.
The university also awarded cash incentives to 20 CTU Main-CoEd topnotchers in the March 2026 Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (LEPT) in recognition of their outstanding performance.
The commencement rites were attended by Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Reylan G. Capuno, Vice President for Student Affairs Dr. Romeo P. Montecillo, Campus Director Dr. Gregorio P. Pjaron Jr., university officials, faculty members, parents, and guests.
Guided by the theme, The Technologist’s Heart: Fostering Human Connection in the Age of Artificial Intelligence, the commencement rites underscored CTU’s commitment to producing competent, values-driven, and future-ready educators.
