Just a few weeks after earning his bachelor’s degree in May, Cebu Technological University (CTU) Danao alumnus Gabe Florence Bonhoc is set to share his expertise with some of Southeast Asia’s leading communicators and educators in an international leadership summit come July.
Bonhoc was invited as one of the featured speakers in the global webinar organized by Universitas PGRI Adi Buana Surabaya in Indonesia a couple of months back.
In an official communication from the Indonesian university, Bonhoc is charged to inspire aspiring communicators and promote effective public speaking across cultures and disciplines.
For the English enthusiast who completed his Bachelor of Secondary Education major in English, the opportunity, an early feat in his professional journey, goes beyond personal achievement.
“This intersectional session is a wonderful avenue that fosters intellectual discourse, strengthening of global communities, and the perpetuation of knowledge and skills in diverse contexts,” he said.
The young educator also expressed gratitude for the chance to represent both his alma mater and the Philippines on an international platform.
“I am personally honored and elated to be one of the speakers who’ll not just represent the institution, but also the country,” Bonhoc shared.
He added that engagements such as the upcoming webinar create meaningful learning experiences for everyone involved.
“Moreover, this opportunity is a transformative experience that immerses both audiences and presenters into the beautiful nuances of communicative discourse,” he said.
The international webinar is the first platform introduced by China-based organization GoStudy this year to CTU, following the agreement renewal./IAI
