To ensure quality and elevate graduate programs, Cebu Technological University–Main Campus successfully completed the Level III Phase 2 Accreditation Survey Visit for select Master of Arts in Education programs, conducted by the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP) on July 29–31.
The survey, held through onsite and online platform, covered MA in Education majors in Mathematics, Special Education, Early Childhood Education, and Guidance and Counseling.
Evaluation focused on key areas: Instruction, Research, Faculty Development, and Library services.
The AACCUP Survey Team was composed of Team Leader Dr. Luzviminda P. Relon of the University of Northern Philippines (UNP); Lead Accreditor Dr. Eva Marie C. Avila, UNP; and Librarian Dr. Maria Pretty Lay T. Abdala of the Bulacan State University (BulSU).
The local task force was headed by Dr. Randy C. Mangubat, College QA Chairperson of COEd. Supporting the accreditation were OIC-University President Dr. Jonita V. Literatus; Dr. Meralei J. Lawas, University Director for Quality Assurance; Dr. Mario P. Rebucas, Jr., Campus QA Chairperson; Dr. Johanna T. Paulo, Associate Dean of Graduate Programs (COEd) and Dr. Reymond C. Espina, COEd Dean.
Facilitated by the University Quality Assurance Office, the accreditation aimed to assess academic quality and institutional readiness for higher accreditation status and advanced graduate programs that prepare educators to contribute meaningfully to society and nation‑building.
