CTU, Alliance IT Education Foundation forge partnership to strengthen industry-ready IT education

Cebu Technological University (CTU) strengthened its commitment to industry-responsive education by forging a three-year partnership with Alliance IT Education Foundation Inc., formalized through a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signing on July 22, 2026, at the CTU Main Campus.

The collaboration aims to enhance the University’s information technology programs through joint research, faculty immersion, curriculum development, and industry-based training opportunities for students.

Main Campus Director Dr. Gregorio P. Pajaron Jr. underscored the significance of the partnership, describing it as a shared commitment to preparing graduates for the rapidly evolving technology sector.
“This partnership is more than just an agreement. It is a commitment to nurture talent and ensure our graduates are ready for the evolving technological landscape,” he said.

Dr. Jose Maria S. Garcia II, Dean of the College of Computer, Information, and Communications Technology (CCICT), introduced the University’s delegation, while representatives from Alliance IT Education Foundation Inc. presented the organization’s profile and outlined the scope of the collaboration.

Under the agreement, CTU faculty and students will collaborate with Alliance professionals on research and development initiatives that integrate academic expertise with industry practice. The Foundation will also provide technical guidance on course requirements and host students for structured on-the-job training under the supervision of industry mentors.

The partnership further includes faculty immersion programs of at least one year, specialized training and workshops, continuous curriculum review, and consultancy services, including feasibility studies and process improvement initiatives, to ensure academic programs remain aligned with industry standards and workforce demands.

Through the collaboration, CTU seeks to bridge classroom instruction with real-world industry experience, reinforcing its mission of producing innovative, resilient, and globally competitive information technology professionals.
