To equip teachers with practical strategies for equitable learning and child development, Cebu Technological University–Main Campus, through its College of Education, formalized its partnership with Vicenta A. Manreal Elementary School, Talisay City, Cebu, with the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) on June 25, 2026.
The collaboration marks the official launch of the COEd’s Advance Learning Access and Growth through Advance Inclusion Model (ALAGA) extension program.
Running from January to December 2026, the initiative will benefit 30 public elementary school teachers handling regular classrooms at Vicenta A. Manreal Elementary School.
Guided by the theme ‘Strengthening Inclusion through Community Collaboration,’ the ALAGA program unfolds through teacher capacity‑building sessions, pilot implementation, and sustainability planning.
The ALAGA program offers training and community interventions to support diverse learners and strengthen collaboration among teachers, families, and the community.
Dr. Janine Joy L. Tenerife‑Cañete led the project with the Special Education faculty of CTU, in partnership with School Principal Mr. Francisco B. Cabug‑os, under the supervision of Dr. Ma. Angelique Lauronilla, Public Schools District Supervisor, alongside selected General Education teachers.
The extension project affirms CTU’s commitment to inclusive education and community extension, boosting sustainable partnerships with the Department of Education to ensure accessible, equitable, and quality learning.
