Zittau/Goerlitz University of Applied Sciences and Cebu Technological University had its first partnership outcome in Dr. Annette Dassi’s talk yesterday on community extension initiatives in San Francisco.
Explicating the synergy of humans and non-humans, the German anthropologist shared her social pedagogical lifework done in Morocco, Zambia and some European states.
She also spoke today with Internationalization and ASEAN Integration Director Dr. Rhodora Magan to map out the inbound-outbound mobility for both students and faculty through Erasmus funding starting March.
Her meeting with Main campus academics next week would prioritize research collaboration before
she heads home.
Leaving with her is a rescued dog from San Francisco called Sinta. In a conversation with Dr. Magan, she described the act as a “passionate” concretization of her vision towards enriching the society informed by the human-nonhuman dialectic.
The agreement signed in July will have both institutions filling more spaces of cooperation in the coming months.
