Cebu Technological University has turned to a 2-day French introductory course favoring La langue de Molière (the language of Molière)for strategic international mobilities moving forward.
Despite the summer break, academics from across CTU campuses have made their way to today’s French class with Maternelle Academy Incorporated CEO Dr. Ramon Cui.
A French language enthusiast himself, Dr. Cui introduces fun in learning the Romance language to tailor to CTU’s need for a more diverse linguistic repertoire instilled in its academics (and eventually in its students), as what transpired during the dialogue with the CTU Internationalization and ASEAN Integration (IAI) leadership in April toward the agreement signing in May.
The leadership sees mobility as requiring an appropriate tool through which students and academics alike could navigate French-speaking nations, where many of CTU’s academic and industry partners can be found.
During the first semester, IAI hopes to have Dr. Cui back so students can have their turn. Many of whom are doing various types of mobilities in the aforesaid nations.
CTU’s current student population and active partnerships very well sit with the need to leverage both elements in advancing the University’s global presence; hence, English need not be alone, remarked the IAI leadership in a statement.
As the primer schedule culminates tomorrow, it is hoped that, though short, the training will enable the academics to see the value of learning the basic framework of the French language, she added./IAI
