Dr. Vincent Borres took time last week for the mandated monitoring and assessment of hospitality management and tourism students deployed across multiple hotel properties in Hong Kong.
The three-day mission also had these establishments looked into for operational readiness, student welfare provisions, and training environments.
Among the internship environments included Novotel Century Hong Kong, AKI Hong Kong – MGallery Collection, Mondrian Hong Kong, Island Shangri-La Hong Kong, JEN Hong Kong by Shangri-La, Kerry Hotel Hong Kong, Novotel Citygate Hong Kong, The Silveri Hong Kong – MGallery Collection, and Four Points by Sheraton Hong Kong.
Throughout the routine, CTU partner Adapper Management Consultancy (AMC) facilitated the implementation of Dr. Borres’ inspection itinerary. It also made possible his fully funded mobility.
The mission forms part of the University’s strides in expanding international internship placements and strengthen industry-academe collaboration for its hospitality and tourism programs./IAI
