Whisked away to India last month, Cebu Technological University fellows sealed the initial task of defending papers at the culmination of partner institution O.P. Jindal Global University’s interdisciplinary research ecosystem—the Naveen Jindal Young Global Research Fellowship.
Dr. Christian Licen, Dr. Honey Lyn Gomez, Dr. Maria Christina Gonzaga, Dr. Ma. Leslie Basallo, Dr. Ivy Batican and Julibeth Albarracin made it through with their peers from across the globe. They did so while investing in multiple interactions that would have foundationalized strategic professional ties.
It is that relationship which the partnership with OPJGU has always envisioned participants to attain—the “unbreakable” bond among researchers,
remarked the Internationalization and ASEAN Integration leadership in a statement.
Meeting with not just OPJGU’s Vice Chancellor Prof. Raj Kumar but also interacting with staff, administrators, supervisors, locals , etc. has had contributions in one way or another to the academics’ trajectory, whose homecoming last week was, some quipped in a statement, should have been stalled so they could have enmeshed themselves further in the Indic scholarly topography.
Nonetheless, the plan needs to be accomplished. Boarding the plane is vital, as they have to polish their papers toward a joint publication.
Moreover, each of them is expected to go for sole authorships, too, apart from their work with peers, to maximize the incentivization mechanism afforded by CTU’s long-time ally.
CTU IAI Director Dr. Rhodora Magan thanked her counterpart Dr. Rahul Bhandari for his reception of CTU was “nothing short of excellent,” she added.
As of late, CTU is looking for its fourth cohort.
