University Librarians Strengthen Collaboration in 2nd Quarterly Meeting

Cebu Technological University (CTU) convened librarians from its satellite and extension campuses for the 2nd Quarterly Meeting held at the Learning Resource Center (LRC), Main Campus, on July 13–14, 2026, reinforcing collaboration and advancing initiatives to enhance library services across the university.

The two-day meeting brought together librarians from the university’s satellite and extension campuses to discuss programs and strategies that support a unified, innovative, and responsive library network in line with CTU’s commitment to quality instruction, research, and academic excellence.

The activity was spearheaded by Dr. Morena E. Carlos, University Librarian, who oversees the university’s library system across all campuses. Under her leadership, the meeting served as a venue for participants to exchange best practices, address operational concerns, and strengthen professional collaboration.

Among the key agenda items were the proposed revisions to the university’s Vision, Mission, Goals, and Objectives (VMGO), preparations for the systemwide Campus Book Fair, updates on library programs and services, operational concerns, and strategic plans for the succeeding quarter.

Discussions continued on the second day with priority initiatives, followed by impressions and closing statements that reaffirmed the librarians’ shared commitment to delivering accessible, innovative, and learner-centered library services.

The quarterly meeting reflects the University’s continuing efforts to strengthen coordination among its libraries and ensure that services across all campuses remain responsive to the evolving needs of the academic community.
