On the heels of her India mobility, Dr. Honey Lyn Gomez continues her academic ascent with her recent admission to the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) program under the Department of Bioscience and Biotechnology – International Program at National Taiwan Ocean University (NTOU) in Keelung, Taiwan.
The Cebu Technological University Carmen academic is set to officially commence her doctoral studies on September 7, 2026.
On July 14th, Dr. Gomez formally conveyed to the University’s Internationalization and ASEAN Integration leadership her intention to pursue the doctoral program while seeking guidance on the necessary institutional procedures to ensure full compliance with university policies.
NTOU is recognized as one of the country’s premier research universities. It advances biotechnology, molecular biology, environmental biosciences, and other interdisciplinary fields, while promoting collaboration among scholars from across the globe.
Prior to her admission, Gomez participated in the Naveen Jindal Young Global Research Fellowship at India’s O.P. Jindal Global University, that has further strengthened her research competencies and broadened her perspective on global scholarship./IAI
