June Clyde Laburada and Joy Sobonio opened the first outbound mobility chapter for the College of Arts and Sciences (Main Campus) by joining the International Student Mobility and Joint Summer Camp 2026 in Indonesia from 23 to 27 July.
Partially funded by Universitas Pancasakti (UPS) Tegal, Laburada and Sobonio experienced an exchange that drew nearly 70 participants from Indonesia, Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand, Ghana, and Nigeria.
They had workshops, team building and a visit to SMK Al Falah, home to Indonesia’s in-house batik production.
Laburada received the Adventure Seeker Award for his active participation throughout the engagement.
The mobility ran alongside the 5th International Conference on Engineering Design and Environmental Sustainability (ICEDES 2026), where fully funded CAS academic Dr. Sylvester Cortes served as one of the speakers.
The mobility came only months after CTU and UPS Tegal formalized the partnership in May of 2026./IAI
