Cebu Technological University (CTU) Consolacion drew students and faculty to a caucus-turned-town-hall to further shape the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) community through critical takes on the region’s current challenges.
Themed “Navigating Our Future, Together,” the commemoration informed the goal of the CTU Internationalization and ASEAN Integration (IAI) to hold a university-wide, high-stakes dialogic ASEAN event—a first since CTU was granted university status in 2009.
IAI Director Dr. Rhodora Magan, in a statement, acknowledged the potency of intellectual discourse in resuscitating academic life in the global village.
Steered by the Debate Society and the Student Supreme Government, it helped students and academics express thoughts on ASEAN and its regional frameworks, such as ASEAN+3, ASEAN+6, and others.
CTU Consolacion Campus Director Dr. Sarah Jane Colina, IAI Chair Dr. Danilo Patalinghug, and Debate Club Adviser Justiniano Dimol Jr. factored into the discussion./IAI
